Amy McClellan

SVP, Retail Operations & Merchandising, Martin’s Super Markets

Amy began working for Martin’s Super Markets in 1996 as a cashier, part-time while in high school. She continued working at Martin’s while in college holding various store-level positions along with completing a 2-year internship with a local advertising agency.   

In 2001, she accepted a full-time position at the Martin’s corporate office as a marketing assistant. Over the last 18 years Amy has held various positions including Marketing Communications Specialist, Market Research Supervisor, Loyalty & Marketing Programs Manager, Director of Marketing and Vice President of Sales & Marketing.   

In December of 2017, Amy was promoted to Senior Vice President, Retail Operations & Merchandising and currently oversees the company’s merchandising, marketing and store operations teams. She is also responsible for new market development and other strategic growth initiatives. 

Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business degree cum laude with dual concentrations in Marketing & Advertising, as well as an MBA, both from Indiana University. In addition, she completed an executive education certification program in Strategic Marketing Management at the University of Chicago. Amy was recognized in 2016 by the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce as one of “Michiana’s Forty Under 40” and in 2018 as one of Progressive Grocer’s Senior Level Executive Top Women in Grocery. In 2019, following the SpartanNash acquisition of Martin’s, Amy was named Division Vice President of Retail for SpartanNash, continuing to serve in her role as SVP at Martin’s. 

Amy regularly attends retail industry events and has participated as a sales, marketing and operations expert speaker and panelist at a variety of industry conferences. For over 15 years, Amy has been a lead committee member for the annual “Roofsit” fundraiser to benefit child abuse prevention (Prevent Child Abuse, St. Joseph County). Additionally, she has served on a variety of community non-profit boards and development committees. 

Amy is also a certified group fitness instructor and enjoys teaching group fitness classes, travel and a variety of lively adventures with her family.
