TwoFer® Shelf Talkers
Level 1 Sponsor
TwoFer® Shelf Talkers are a disruptive retail shelf edge technology providing Ecological and Economical recyclable back-to-back shelf labels with half the environmental impact at half the cost to the retailer than the shelf label it replaces. Developed and patented* by NAStar Inc., TwoFer shelf tags provide twice as many tags per sheet or cartridge and are made of all recyclable paper with no silicone liner to remove and dispose.
Alternating Adhesive and Release Patterns allow for two printed label sheets without liner to be held together, back-to-back, until ready to apply. Labor savings is realized with store personnel having half the labels to peel and no liner pieces to discard. Likewise, printing efficiency is achieved with high speed duplex printing producing two labels at the speed of one traditional label. Transportation costs are reduced 50% with half the weight and cost to ship finished tags to individual stores.
The combination of a strong face stock and an aggressive, removable adhesive allows a paper-based tag to provide film-like performance. The tags adhere to plastic and metal shelving without curl, even in refrigerated use, and remove easily when desired.
TwoFer Shelf Talkers run on a variety of toner based digital equipment and are on the TSL (Tested Substrate List) for Xerox’s Igen. Finishing equipment allow the tags to be boxed in planogram sequence in a single pass.
NAStar Inc. is a specialty manufacturer of self-adhesive products and is the inventor of the TwoFer product and patents. In addition to TwoFer shelf tags, NAStar services the retail industry with NewsNotes® Advertising labels affixed to newspapers and inserts, as well as the Food Service and Flexographic Label industries.
