ShopperKit is a Fulfillment Orchestration Software & Logistics Platform designed specifically for eGrocery.
We offer dark store/micro fulfillment center/warehouse Hub & Spoke Fulfillment, in-store picking technologies, grocer branded customer communication, corporate to guest communications, gig economy integrations, geo-location pickup services, and a variety of other tools designed to allow grocers to fulfill online orders from their physical stores and distribution centers in the most cost efficient and branded way possible.
ShopperKit’s in-store fulfillment system enables existing brick & mortar stores to receive, prioritize, and process orders from their online counterparts allowing grocers to offer in-store pickup or delivery services to their online customers.
Shoppers (store employees or third-party service providers) are outfitted with ShopperKit’s
recommended tablet, scanner, and printer hardware configuration to strategically Shop, Stage, and Load online orders. ShopperKit guides shoppers through the store in the most efficient way, allowing for multiple orders to be shopped at the same time, while giving visual product data to the shopper for the fastest and most reliable order fulfillment possible.
ShopperKit integrates with any online storefront, point of sale, or last mile system. As a result, stores are able to leverage their existing technologies (commercial or internally developed) thereby negating the need for heavy integrations or massive nightly data/inventory loads. One immediate benefit is a dramatic reduction in the time it takes to setup a store and train shoppers.
Perhaps the most important lesson learned from the Click&Collect attempts of the last twenty years is that “FOOD IS PERSONAL”. Consumers expect (even subconsciously) a more connected experience when it comes to gathering the food they place on their family’s table.
By leveraging today’s communication technologies ShopperKit enables real-time communication with the guest in the form of voice, text, IM, camera, and video. Grocers are seeing that "food shopping is indeed personal and arming our shoppers with an easy way to communicate with our guests is what sets us apart".
Additionally, strong in-store fulfillment services result in:
- Faster pick times
- Greater order accuracy and fulfillment rates
- Food Safety driven shopping and staging
- Increased basket size
- Reduced product spoilage
- Increased customer loyalty
- Greater ability to personalize orders for, and sell directly to, the individual customer
As online grocery continues to grow and evolve, it is no longer enough to think of order fulfillment within the context of the 4 walls of a store. Successful grocers will need better options for managing labor and orchestrating fulfillment execution across the enterprise. To that end, ShopperKit it very excited to release the first iteration of our Hub and Spoke fulfillment feature set. We've built out the
Spoke Store Pickup Only
Conceptually, this is the simplest of Hub and Spoke use cases. With this model, you would completely fulfill and settle all orders at a single Hub store location, where you then create a load of completed orders to be delivered to a different spoke store location. Once received by the spoke store, orders would be re-staged where they would wait to be picked up by the customer.
This model is useful for when you may have stores that are reasonably close to hub stores and could act as good curbside pickup locations, but lack the inventory assortment, demand or labor required to make the store suitable for fulfillment operations.
Spoke Store Top Offs
In this model, orders may be partially fulfilled from the Hub location before being received by the spoke store to complete fulfillment and settlement. A common use case for this model would be where you centralize center aisle order fulfillment for a group of stores in a dark store location, and instead deliver loads of orders to your spoke stores where the remaining fresh items are added to the orders before they are settled and staged for customer pickup or delivery.
3rd Party Fulfillment
With 3rd Party Fulfillment, you have the ability to receive orders that have been fulfilled (in part or entirely) by a provider that is external to ShopperKit. With 3rd party fulfillment, ShopperKit will receive orders and load data via webservice integration. Spoke stores will then be able to receive orders fulfilled by the external provider for top off, settlement and pickup or delivery.
Jointly crafted by a select team of Supply Chain, Click & Collect, and eCommerce experts, ShopperKit is the first enterprise class software built specifically for in-store fulfillment in grocery industry.
